In Country, Finally!

It has been a long day that started at 2am in Cleveland, TN and now is ending in Managua, Nicaragua. Their are 16 people that have made this journey today and we are all excited to see how God uses each of us to bless the people of Nicaragua and teaches us through His people here.
Today has been a whirlwind. The two flights to get here took up the first portion of the day. It was very interesting to see the difference in the security for the United States and then arriving here and seeing a very different picture. We walked 32 bags right out the doors of the airport with hardly an eye batted!   Jay, met us at the airport. He was so excited to see our team. It was wonderful to have our arrival be anticipated.
The mission house is beautiful. There are balconies that over look the mountains and Lake Managua. It is something to behold. The cooks so far have done an excellent job. And we found out the mission house was recently blessed with new "real" mattresses! Jay gave us a quick overview of life in the mission house and then took us to a local grocer.
The grocery store was just like one at home with small exceptions. The cashiers can even tell you how much you owe in U.S. dollars.  Jared and Jay went for Pringles!, Mrs. Caroline bought the biggest papaya we have ever seen, and most of us indulged in a bag of coffee.
Afterward, we returned to the mission house for rest and dinner. When we had finished eating there was a team meeting. J.C. and Mr. Mike gave us their testimonies.  Now, it is off to bed for an early church service at the missionary church tomorrow.
So far so good, keep praying for us. Tomorrow the real work begins!
