On Mission to Nicaragua

In just a few short hours our team will begin our journey to Nicaragua.  There are 16 of us who will be joining Partners In Christ in their efforts to assist in meeting the physical needs of the people of Nicaragua.  As we assist in meeting some of the physical needs (medical clinic, roofing projects, encouragement meetings, etc) we also have the incredible privilege of sharing Jesus with them.  You can begin to pray now that all of our luggage will arrive safely and with us.  Please pray as we go through customs.  Pray as we travel tomorrow.  We will be going through orientation at the mission house, unpacking, sorting and finalizing our game plan.

I know God has big plans for us because I believe Satan has already tried to discourage us in some of the following ways-

  • two team members were unable to go due to health issues (one almost 2 weeks ago and one today)/ Thankfully we were able to change the names on the tickets and someone else stepped up to go.
  • several team members have been physically sick
  • after we loaded the bus last night- a window was broken and we had to get another vehicle and unload and reload all the luggage (thankfully Mr. Wayne, Mr. Tommy, my husband Mike and my dad Mike were able to take care of this)
However, we know the victory has already been won and we claim that!
I am leading this trip for our church- First Baptist Church of Cleveland, Tennessee.  During the next week you will hear from different team members.  We know that while God called us to go on this trip - there were others He called to join us on this mission in various ways - financial support, prayer support, giving of their time and talents to assist us, make things for us to take to Nicaragua, order supplies, move supplies, count supplies, giving cars, beanies, toothbrushes, soap, diapers, quilts and many other things.  THANK YOU!  We pray as you read from team members you will be blessed and know you played an important part in First Baptist being on mission to touch the world for Jesus from Cleveland, Tennessee.
Much Love and Thanks!
Mrs. Tara
